Stacker Formula review: ebook 1 - Introduction to Online Marketing
I just finished reading the first of the two ebooks that are part of Stacker Formula. The one with the exciting title “Introduction to Online Marketing”.
The title may be boring, the content is not.
As Eric Louviere, the author, explains in the very first sentences, it is about “the real nuts ‘n bolts of what it takes to get the job done with making money online”.
I’m not going to review each and every word or even chapter in the book. You’d better do your own reading :).
But I really want you to put some extra energy in the first chapter once you have the book on your computer screen. It is called “Why You’re About To Win In A Major Way”.
Why I think it is important you give this a good read? Because it explains in plain good old plain English why you want to start a business online. It will remind you on why you’ve picked up Stacker Formula in the first place.
Page 14 starts with “The 3 Online Marketing Power Skills”. Learn to manage these three skills and you are on your way to make a killing online.
No, it is not just about traffic. It is also about copywriting and list building. Let’s face it: what good is traffic if you are not able to sell or persuade?
So far, in the first 16 pages, everything was covered in a general, broad way. Things get really different at page 17 where section 2 starts: “Action Steps and Tools of the Trade”.
When you read this section (it is 42 pages packed with information) you’ll probably feel this is the most important part of the book. Remember the nuts ‘n bolts? Well, here you have ‘m.
I’ve read Section 2 twice last night. That’s weird. Why? Because I’m supposed to know these things. I’m under Eric’s wings for over a year now, remember!
Thing is, every time you read about the ‘nuts ‘n bolts’ you tend to discover new wisdom and insights you apparently overlooked the first, second or third time.
You want to know what’s in this section? Here’s the outline real quick:
1. Identify a niche market
2. Get online and set up
3. Understand and implement copywriting
4. Get traffic
5. Implementing Longer-Term Profit Strategies
Which one is the most important you think? Part 4 because it is what we all want; traffic?
No, it’s not.
It is part 3 (and you should have known by now)
Let’s stop the review here for a moment.
I’ll be honest here. If you are not able to master some level of copywriting, you are in trouble. Deep trouble. It takes time and some money to get a website up and drive traffic to it. But it is all pointless if you are not able to convert. Sorry to be the one that brings you the bed news.
Okay, back to the review – section 2, paragraph 3: understanding and implementing copywriting. Read it every day if you have to. Read it out loud if you have to. Yeah, I know: you’ll look silly but you‘ll be amazed about the effect! Trust me on this one.
On to section 3.
Remember I told you that reading section 2 would make you feel you’ve come to the most important and powerful part of the book? Well, you where wrong. Mister Louviere saved that bit for the end.
Mindset.
Here are some lines form the opening page:
(…) you can have all the “hows” in the world. All the steps, the blue print, the Golden Scroll from the mountain top – if you don’t have the proper philosophies to make it work – then nothing works.
We’ve seen this time and time again. People want to learn how to make money online and we can tell them. Then 30 days later they’re no where to be found.
They basically just “Get in to get out.
And it gets better. Here is another quote:
The real difference between a wealthy person and poor person is not so much in what they do, rather, what they think about.
In fact, this is such an important concept that there was an entire book written on it called Think and Grow Rich.
In it, the author, Napoleon Hill, spent TWENTY FIVE years interviewing the 500 most successful people in world at the time – and identified the 13 things that they all had in common.
Yet, if you ask 99.9% of the people graduating from high school if they’ve read that book, the answer will be “no”.
Now these traits were not “where to advertise” or “what to sell” – rather they were the 13 traits they had in common based on mindset and further development and enhancement of proper mindset.
If you want to become part of the 0.1% that is smart enough to pick up this book: you can download a free copy here.
I’ve attend 20, 30 or maybe even 40 webinars with Eric on the other end of the microphone. If there is someone in this world that can help you change your mindset, it is him. No doubt about. And if you are like me (and I hope you do better!) this part of his training is the most important and most powerful.
The fun part of the book starts at page 45: Get Started - Just do it! But not without a fair warning: Eric Louviere’s Famous 3-1 ratio. What it boils down to is this: once you get a general understanding of creating your online income (which you have by now if you’ve read this whole book), you should spend about 3 hours of action for every 1 hour of learning.
There you have it: a rather long review of an exciting ebook with a dull name.
